This association AIAPAO(Civil) represents the Sr. Accounts Officer (Sr.A.O.), Accounts Officers (A.O.), Finance Officer (F.O.) and Zonal Accounts Officers (ZAO) of the Central Civil Accounts Service (CCAS cadre). Members of this Association are responsible for keeping records of all the Receipts and Payments of Government of India. Records of each and every transaction of receipt and payments of Government of India are kept by various Pay & Accounts Offices attached with each Ministry/Department of Government of India. In nutshell, we may be called Custodian of the Government money and Book Keeper of the Government of India.
The All India Association of Pay & Accounts Officers (Civil) was formed in the year 1980. Sh. R K Joshi was the 1st SECRETARY GENERAL of the Association. Mrs. Maya Rawat, the present President is the 1st ever lady President of any of the Civil Accounts Employees Associations.
At present following Branch Association functioning at different State/Stations namely:

4. Gujarat Branch
5. Rajasthan Branch
6. Karnataka Branch
7. Bihar & Jharkhand Branch
8. Kerala Branch
9. Telangana & Aandhra Pradesh Branch
10. West Bengal Branch
11. North East Branch
12. Tamilnadu & Podducherry Branch
13. Pune Branch.
We are looking forward for further strengthening and formation of Branches at State/Stations where the Branch Associations are not yet formed especially in North India. A proposal for creating new branch for Chandigarh, UP and Uttrakhand is under consideration.
